At our farm the beef cattle are reared extensively out on ancient pasture. Only coming in during the winter.
 Our Beef is matured for a minimum of 2 weeks. This ensures an exceptional eating quality. Rib of Beef, Fillet, Sirloin and Rump. Not forgetting our fantastic Beef steak Sausages.
Woodhouse farm dry cure bacon and Farmhouse Gammon is cured using a method that dates back hundreds of years. Nothing is rushed, the Farmhouse gammons and bacon are hung for up to 4 weeks. Our Farmhouse Gammons are dry cured then matured. This gives our bacon and gammon its distinctive flavour that is second to none.
When you cook our bacon there is no watery residue that you find from bacon produced by large-scale meat processors. Factory processed meat is injected with a saline solution containing artificial flavour enhancers. This doubles the size of the meat so it can increase the water content of the meat to 60%!

Woodhouse bacon is cured by rubbing the dry salt mixture all over the meat. This will cure the meat .once the curing is done the meat becomes bacon. We then allow the bacon to mature by hanging it.
The smoking is done over Hickory and oak Chipping’s in a traditional smoking oven, to give our smoked bacon and ham its delicious distinctive flavour that factory processors just can’t beat.

Woodhouse farm sausages are all hand made with real sausage skins Using only the finest ingredients Gold Great Taste award winner 2005 Just pork, Tamworth pork, Cider & apple and Real Ale. We only use fresh shoulder and belly pork in our sausages, no rubbish. That is why they are so delicious.
Our Produce is not cheap. It is good value for money. Good meat should not be cheap. Cheap meat is, more often than not, ethically tainted, of untraceable origin and dubious quality. In the end, cheap meat is a false economy. Because meat is a food for which quantity is never a substitute for Quality.
