Woodhouse farm is a family run farm nestling in the heart of Leicestershire. Richard, Anne, Andrew, Paula, Caroline and now Harry and Thomas are three generations of the Wincott family. We understand the importance of traditional farming methods and are passionate about producing excellent food.
We farm traditionally reared Tamworth Pigs renown for their excellent bacon and pork. Woodhouse Farm pork is home produced from happy, healthy pigs helping us to produce the best award winning low fat sausages and bacon in the country! There is no added fat or nasty’s in our sausages! Our Dry cured bacon has no added water! It is cured the old fashioned, way by hand.
We have a herd of Hereford Suckler Cows renowned world wide for their excellent beef qualities. Woodhouse farm Beef is home reared, totally grass fed, traditionally dry aged (it is well hung) giving an eating experience second to none.
Our traditional farming methods mean that we do not routinely use antibiotics, growth promoters or keep intensively housed animals and with plenty of farm yard manure for the grassing pastures. Low nitrogen inputs too.
Our farm is a mixed farming enterprise meaning we grow cereal crops, oil seed crops as well as looking after all the livestock. But all this enables us to mix our very own feeds and source the animal bedding from our farm.
We have been producing great meat products at the farm since 1999. The farm butchery and smoke house is open Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Please call in.
Have your Sunday roast or steaks cut just how you like them, we can prepare meat for your special occasion just how you like it. Pop in on Wednesday and watch us make sausages for your BBQ or breakfast. Right in front of you can see the quality of the meat for your self.
